Day 1: You Are BEAUTIFUL!

That’s right, I’m talking to you! YOU are absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and I don’t just mean on the outside, I also mean on the inside! I want you  to tell yourself this every morning. You are a beautiful person, and when you start telling yourself this, you’ll start believing it. It has been a major help with my self-esteem. My self-esteem, takes a big hit from my depression, and a big help is when I tell myself I am beautiful!

I asked a handful of people, “What makes you feel beautiful?”

Their responses:

“My kids make me feel beautiful”

“Being with my family, to me those are beautiful moments. They are my joy and when you have joy in your heart, how can you feel anything but beautiful”

“When my husband compliments me in the morning, and tell me how nice I look”

“Helping others”

“I feel my best and beautiful when it’s a perfect day to where I can just drive with the windows down and the music up, clearing my head of everything except enjoying this wonderful life God gave me.”

“When I’m able to use my nerdiness to solve problems, no matter the size”

Quotes that make me feel beautiful:

“Like anyone else, there are days I feel beautiful and days I don’t, and when I don’t I do something about it” – Chery Tiegs

“Always know how valuable and uniquely beautiful you are”

“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous, than absolutely boring.” – Marilyn Monroe

“Sometimes people are beautiful, not in looks, not in what they say, just in what they are.” – Markus Zusak

My Beautiful

I feel beautiful, when I get up in the morning and I am in a really good mood. I mean it may be gloomy outside, but if I wake up in a good mood it’s going to be a good day! When ever my niece sees me, and smiles the biggest smile, she makes me feel beautiful. My husband reminds me every day of how beautiful I am, and that always helps. I also feel beautiful, when I wear a full face of makeup, but also when I’m not wearing any makeup at all.

So what makes you feel beautiful inside and out?

This is a great challenge for a good cause. So many people suffer silently even though so many of us battle or have battled depression!

My niece and nephew make me feel beautiful. My 4-year-old niece tells me all the time that she wants to grow up and be just like me. And my 2-year-old nephew with his unconditional love always puts a smile on my face. They both put the biggest most genuine smile on my face! And I think a smile is one of the most important things you can put on your face to make you beautiful and radiate from the inside out! 🙂
