Too Blessed, To Be Stressed: My Top 5 Blessings!

I have been extremely blessed in my life, from becoming an aunt to starting this blog. Today’s writing challenge is about 5 Blessings in your life. I thought I’d share with you, my top five blessings.

Too Blessed, To Be Stressed

Blessing #1

My number one blessing is being an aunt to some awesome kiddos. I have 3 nephews and one niece, who range in ages from 13-1. That makes me the best friend, the cheerleader, and the person they can come to no matter what. I gained two nephews when I got married, and let me tell you those boys keep me on my toes. My oldest nephew is 13 and is your typical teenager, but he’s also an awesome kid and kills it at baseball. Nephew number 2 is 8 and he is a character! He is obsessed with YouTube and even wants to be a vlogger when he grows up. He’s also an awesome catcher for baseball and I can’t wait to see where life takes him!

Nephew #2 and Niece!

Onto nephew number three and my only niece. My youngest nephew will be 3 come July and he is a handful. He will definitely keep you laughing and has his momma wrapped around his little finger. The first time I heard this little guy say my name it made my heart swell with joy! This guy is also pretty smart! He talks more than anyone I know and can probably point out a tractor from miles away!

Now to my favorite little girl! If you ever thought a soon to be two years old couldn’t be your best friend, you are extremely mistaken! Yep, that’s right my niece is my number one best friend and she is the best little girl in my life! Every time I see her, she waves so big and runs right up to me for a hug! As soon as she said my name, I am pretty sure my heart stopped for just a second because I was so happy. To say I am wrapped around her finger is an understatement.

Blessing #2

My rescue dog turned emotional support animal. A little over a year ago my husband called to say he found this little puppy and I met him to bring the little guy home. From day one I knew he was my saving grace. He was a relief from anxiety and knew exactly when I needed some extra comfort. You can read more about Hopper the ESA here.

Blessing #3

Moving to East Texas. The move was not an easy one because I am not good with change.  Learning a new place and a new job was a big adjustment for me, but I did it. It also turned out to be the best decision I have made for my life. I got a better job and met an amazing man and made something of my little life. I learned to control my depression and anxiety to the best of my ability, and it was a big help to staying alive.

Blessing #4

My younger sisters. They may be the biggest pains in my butt, but I wouldn’t trade them for the world. They have given me some of my favorite little blessings and I couldn’t be happier. I also have 3 amazing women to look up to for when I become a mom. I have never had an older sister until my sister-in-law came into my life and she is the best big sister I could ever ask for. She has become not only my sister but also a best friend. I know I can go to her for anything and she is willing to help.

Now, onto the other two! At three years of age, my mom thought it would be an awesome idea to bring home not one but two sisters. That’s right, I am the older sister to a set of crazy twins! We never really got along growing up, in fact, we were always at each other’s throats! Arguments were part of our daily routine, but you wouldn’t believe that now. Today, we call each other just to catch up and get advice from one another. We still have our moments but they are starting to become far and few between. I know they will be here when I become a mom so I can get all the advice I need. Thanks to these two I have learned that no matter what, your sisters are you sisters and there is nothing they can do about it!

Blessing #5

My life. You’re probably like well yeah everyone should be blessed with their life. I’m blessed for a different reason than most. There was a time in my life that I wanted to end my life and let go of living. I was ready to throw in the towel and convinced myself that everyone I loved would be OK without me. Then I learned I am way too blessed, to be stressed! So many people would be hurt if I left this Earth before my time. My goal in life now is to live it to the best of my ability. If I ever get to that point in my life I have to take a step back and reflect on all these blessings I have. Life is worth everything you make it out to be, and never forget you are an amazing and beautiful soul that has a purpose!
