Confessions of a Book Nerd

Most book nerds have secrets they don’t want to share with the world. Today, however, is day 20 of the writing challenge and its topic is “Confessions of a book nerd!” So, I asked some of my book nerd peeps what their confessions would be, and here is what I got!

Confessions of a Book Nerd

Confession #1

I think most book nerds are at fault for this one. Buying books just because of their cover, but never actually reading the book!

This book is on my TBR on Goodreads just because I liked the cover!

Confessions #2

Buying books is great! However, if you can get them for .50 cents that’s even better! Gotta love those library sales!

Confession #3

I’m not really guilty of this one, but a lot of book nerds prefer borrowing a book instead of buying it.

Confession #4

Having multiple copies of your ultimate all time favorite book! I have 3 copies of To Kill a Mockingbird!

Confession #5

Believe it or not, some books nerds do not like the smell of books. This one makes me sad, I love the smell of books!

Confession #6

Having a different library card for multiple cities! One is never enough!

Confession #7

Some book nerds prefer physical books to an e-book!

Others may prefer e-books to physical books!

Confession #9

Judging books by their covers. I’ve done this numerous times, only to find out that the book was pretty amazing or it was horrible!

Now Here are some of my Confessions!

Confession #1

I only have one bookshelf.

Confession #2

My bookshelf is not organized in any way.

Confessions #3

I listen to more books than I read.

What are some confessions you have as a book nerd? I’d love to hear about them!

I love TKAM. It was my favorite book to teach each year. I go back and forth on e-book vs paper books. It just depends on what else is going on in my life. I also really like audiobooks, but these are sometimes too hard for me to get through because I need more quiet to focus.

I only listen to audiobooks when I am working. Other times I am curled up and reading on the couch!

I don’t have a preference towards physical or e-books. Whatever is cheaper when I buy the book is the way I will read it. I also only have 1 bookshelf and it is torturous to find room to put books on it!

I know exactly what you mean! My poor shelf is overflowing!
