Best Quiet Remedies For Depression

Hey, Nerdy Peeps! I have been battling my depression big time lately and it has not been easy. Since the accident I was in on August 5th, I have been really down. So, I wanted to share with you some of my best remedies for depression.

Even on your worst days, think about the things that make you happy or that will always brighten your mood! My favorites are my quiet times that give me time to clear my head and remember everything I love that makes me feel better.

Top 3 Favorite Quiet Times

Writing

best quiet remedies for depression

This is one of my favorite quiet times because I can work on different stories or get my thoughts out and on paper. As you have probably read I have been working on three different stories, or if you’re new you can find them here! Anyway, working on my books always helps me get in a better mood because I get to block out the world and get into the world I am writing about. It helps me fast forward through the sadness and ugly thoughts and puts me in a better place. As for getting my thoughts out on paper, it helps by letting me dump everything and then forget about it all.

Reading

My second favorite because I get to go on so many different adventures and they always brighten my mood. Especially when I reread a book that always puts a smile on my face, it just sends the depression to the back of my mind. Speaking of my favorite books that make me laugh and smile, I want to share some recommendations with you!

  • Wallbanger by Alice Clayton (check out my review)
  • Ink Enduring by Carrie Ann Ryan
  • Anything by Janet Evanovich
Walking

I love walking! It’s relaxing and a great way to get your exercise in which helps fight depression. Plus, I love spending that time with my ESA and getting some fresh air, it helps me get a better perspective on my life. Walking is my favorite way of getting my mind off things and getting my head to clear of all the crap inside there. Sadly though, since the accident, I have had to take a break. I will get back at it though!

I can relate to this, I suffer depression as well and find your top three things are exactly the same as mine! I find writing every morning gets all my thoughts in order to start the day fresh, reading takes me away and walking clears the cobwebs. Good luck with your battle x

I battled with anxiety for a while, and I honestly think what you have listed is amazing! In fact i started blogging because I needed a creative outlet and that helped immensely. I’m a book nerd as well, and love reading, it transports me to another world! And I’m a fitness buff, which works wonders as well.
    Great post! Thanks for sharing!
