Two Books to Help Myself

Hey Nerdy Peeps! Guess who went book shopping? Me, I did. I got two lovely self-help books that I can’t wait to dive into. I got two books to help myself and I am going to share them with you.

Two Books to Help Myself

I’ve been slacking on myself lately, so I thought why not get some books that might be able to help. I chose You are a Badass because I hear everyone talking about it, and I chose Girl, Wash Your Face because a friend recommended it to me. Now, I’ve started listening to Girl, Wash Your Face at the gym and it’s truly amazing! I loved every second I listened to it while on the stationary bike and I was hooked. So, let me tell you more!

Girl, Wash Your Face

This book is by Rachel Hollis and even though I have just started listening to it I am already hooked. Let me tell you why. She is raw and she is real. This book will drag you in and keep you there and you won’t regret it.

Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are So You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be

Founder of the lifestyle website TheChicSite.com and CEO of her own media company, Chic Media, Rachel Hollis has created an online fan base of hundreds of thousands of fans by sharing tips for living a better life while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own. Now comes her highly anticipated first book featuring her signature combination of honesty, humor, and direct, no-nonsense advice.

Each chapter of Girl, Wash Your Face begins with a specific lie Hollis once believed that left her feeling overwhelmed, unworthy, or ready to give up. As a working mother, a former foster parent, and a woman who has dealt with insecurities about her body and relationships, she speaks with the insight and kindness of a BFF, helping women unpack the limiting mindsets that destroy their self-confidence and keep them from moving forward.

From her temporary obsession with marrying Matt Damon to a daydream involving hypnotic iguanas to her son’s request that she buy a necklace to “be like the other moms,” Hollis holds nothing back. With unflinching faith and tenacity, Hollis spurs other women to live with passion and hustle and to awaken their slumbering goals.

You are a Badass

This book has been all over the place so I decided it was time to give it a shot.

If you’re ready to make some serious changes around here, You Are a Badass will help you: Identify and change the self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviors that stop you from getting what you want, blast past your fears so you can take big exciting risks, figure out how to make some damn money already, learn to love yourself and others, set big goals and reach them – it will basically show you how to create a life you totally love, and how to create it NOW.

By the end of You Are a Badass, you’ll understand why you are how you are, how to love what you can’t change, how to change what you don’t love, and how to use The Force to kick some serious ass.

If you’re wanting to kick some serious ass in the money department (you wanna?) and start making the kind of dinero you ain’t never made before, pre-order the next book in the series that’s all about your financial badassery: You Are a Badass at Making Money: Master the Mindset of Wealth, coming April 2017 from Viking Books.

I figured I can’t really afford the help of a psychologist, but maybe these books can help. I’m really looking forward to jumping into these books and seeing what they can help me with. If you’re looking for inexpensive help, just remember books really aren’t that expensive.
